About Our Church
On the Independence Day (15th August) of 1999 at Mizpa Cottage- the residence of Dr. K. Joy David, Gandhi Road- a group of local Christians consisting of students, faculty and professionals started gathering with an intention to practice New Testament pattern of house churches with simplicity and warmness of fellowship. Christian believers of two local gatherings at Maraimalai Nagar and Anna Nagar also joined with them. Later, it moved to 147, Gandhi Road and continued to gather for worship and Bible studies in the upper room for nearly 8 years. There were regular leadership training under Dr. K. Joy David and K. Abraham Thomas. The evening gospel meetings with songs and skits were special memorable occasions and it attracted many to Christ.

We have been part of Medahalli Church as a family for the past couple of months, and it has been a true blessing. From the beginning, we were welcomed with kindness and warmth. The teaching is rooted in Scripture, the worship is heartfelt, and the community feels like family. It is a place where we can grow in faith, serve with purpose, and find support in joyful and difficult times. We are grateful to call this our church home.
Being part of Medahalli Church has helped me understand Christianity better and grow in a Christ-centered life. Through regular teaching and learning from the Word of God, I have shaped my beliefs and tried to live them daily 🙂. The fellowship has helped me build meaningful relationships with believers in Christ. It is a place where I am encouraged to grow spiritually, discover my gifts, and serve God’s Kingdom. I am grateful to be part of Medahalli Bible Church, a place that truly feels like family. From the beginning, I experienced love and care from the members who support one another. The church creates a joyful and safe environment for families and children to grow in faith. It is inspiring to see believers from different cultures worship together. Praise the Lord, my name is Bhagyashree, and I am thankful for what the Lord has done in my life through Medahalli Church.
